Inspection Built Around the Drawing
Useful quality control starts with the characteristics that affect fit and motion. For rack-and-pinion work that usually means tooth geometry, pitch, straightness, mounting features and the relationship between machined datums.
What to place on the RFQ
When accuracy matters, send the drawing with the tolerance standard and inspection points rather than only a phrase such as “high precision.” It lets production and inspection work to the same target from the start.
