Custom Sun Gears for Planetary Gear Systems
EVER POWER supplies drawing-based sun gears, sun gear shafts and matched planetary components for reducers, transmissions and compact coaxial drive systems.

Start with the central gear, then define the complete mesh.
A sun gear is the central external gear in a planetary stage. It works with the planet gears, internal ring gear and carrier, so the useful product definition goes beyond outside diameter.

Tooth geometry and interface data drive the quotation.
For a new or replacement sun gear, send module or DP, tooth count, pressure angle, spur/helical form, face width and the bore, spline or shaft interface. Helical parts also need helix angle and hand. Material, heat treatment and gear-quality requirements should remain exactly as the released drawing specifies.
If a drawing is incomplete, send the mating planet and ring information plus torque, speed and duty. That gives the technical review enough context to identify what must be confirmed before production.
Sun gears are supplied in more than one mechanical form.
Planetary gearing appears wherever compact coaxial transmission is valuable.
Different applications put different emphasis on duty, noise, backlash, material, inspection and replacement risk.

Send drawing & planetary data
PDF/STEP, revision, quantity, application and any available mating-gear information.
Confirm tooth geometry
Module/DP, tooth count, pressure angle, spur/helical form, helix angle and hand.
Confirm interfaces
Bore, spline, shaft, journals, shoulders and functional datum relationships.
Plan material & treatment
Keep material, carburizing/nitriding/hardness and case requirements tied to the approved design.
Manufacture & hard-finish
Sequence turning, gear cutting, spline work, heat treatment and grinding as required.
Inspect controlled features
Check tooth geometry together with bore/spline/journal and face relationships.
Pack & ship
Export packing and the agreed Incoterm for the released quantity.
Hardness alone does not define a good sun gear.
Tooth accuracy has to be controlled relative to the bore, spline, journals and locating faces that center the component in the gearbox. The manufacturing route can include soft machining, gear cutting, heat treatment, hard finishing and final gear inspection, with the sequence chosen from the drawing and duty.
For matched planetary sets, the plan also considers the planet gears and internal ring gear so mesh relationships are not reviewed in isolation.
